Affordable. Accessible. Adaptable.

Food and water security means people consistently have safe access to sufficient and affordable food and water that also meets their basic nutritional, drinking, sanitation, agricultural, and commercial needs, especially among vulnerable populations.

But for vulnerable populations, the problem of access and affordability has no simple solution. Droughts or extreme weather fluctuations, lack of vital infrastructure, and even some cultural norms all create barriers to success.

That’s why we build integrated, holistic solutions and our approach includes working with farmers as well as communities, businesses, and local governments.

We are working with communities to identify and grow climate-resilient, marketable crops; create training and professional development opportunities; and develop sustainable infrastructure so that food isn’t a question anymore; it’s a promise.

WASH Reflections: Here’s to Good Health

In June of 2019, World Hope International (WHI) made a year-long commitment, along with 72 other organizations, to focus on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Healthcare Facilities (WASH in HCF).

It is also why we challenge ourselves to innovate and create access to clean water around the world. We are constantly improving on the quality of our approach and today, people are living healthier, more productive lives because of access to clean water.

Whether we are drilling wells, developing commercial and sustainable tapped-water systems, building solar-powered desalination and water distribution centers, or finding new ways to conserve water usage, we are working within communities around the world to address water scarcity and improve water security.
